| The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. | Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. | What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. | Yahweh says, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” | Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. |
| Now therefore put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to Yahweh, the God of Israel. | Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel. |
| His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ | His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. |
| But Yahweh said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.” | But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. |
| He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. | And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. | God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.
