| Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him. | Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. | You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you. | So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son. |

| Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. | Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness. | Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me in Your faithfulness. |
| Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. | From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way. |
| Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you. | Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You. |
| Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you. Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul. | Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls. |
| With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. | At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. |
| You are my hiding place and my shield. I hope in your word. | You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word. |
