Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.
Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.
When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.”Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.Again, I saw that for all toil and every skillful work a man is envied by his neighbor. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.
Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.”Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.”
Pay to all what is due them—taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves.Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Then Job arose, tore his robe, shaved his head, and fell on the ground and worshiped. Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.
For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.“For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions of them to those for whom nothing is prepared, for this day is holy to our Lord; and do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
My child, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad.My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself.

If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
