Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do.For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God’s service, continually doing this very thing.
When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.

Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. They ate and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.
Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart.The words of a gossip are like dainty morsels: they go down into a person’s innermost parts.

I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.That their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
