For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9	For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. grace faith salvation
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. 2 Peter 1:4	By which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust. reward desires world
I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. Galatians 2:21	I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing! grace righteousness law
He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3	Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue. strength life receiving
Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled. Romans 15:4	For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. 1 Peter 1:23	Having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever. rebirth Word of God
Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. John 10:9	I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture. Jesus salvation
For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love. Galatians 5:6	For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love. faith love Jesus
With their words, the godless destroy their friends, but knowledge will rescue the righteous. Proverbs 11:9	With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. righteousness speaking wisdom
Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 9:14	How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Romans 10:17	So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. faith evangelism listening
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Philippians 2:3	Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself. selfishness humility neighbor
He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:14	To which he called you through our Good News, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. evangelism calling
All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” Matthew 1:22-23	Now all this has happened that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel,” which is, being interpreted, “God with us.” prophecy miracles Jesus
But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. 1 Corinthians 2:10	But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. God Spirit planning
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21	Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. Matthew 7:13-14	Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it. eternal life salvation
And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:5	And hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. hope heart Spirit
Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
