| Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” | Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” |
| If the member refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. | If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector. |
