| See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! | For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? | You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men. | You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. |
| So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith. | So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith. |
| See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all. | See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all. |
