If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh.I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
