| Hear my prayer, Yahweh, and give ear to my cry. Don’t be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were. | Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. |
| When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes? | When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? |

| Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones. | Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. |
| Yahweh God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.” | And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. |
| I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue. | I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. |
| But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels? | Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? |
| Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up. | Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. |
| For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. | For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |

| Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. | The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. |
| Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh. Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions. | Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
| Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. | Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. |
| Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. |
| But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. | Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. |
| Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me. | Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me. |
| You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. | Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. | Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus. | Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. |
| Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand. | Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. |
| For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age. | For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. |
| We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds. | We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth. |
| Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him. | And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. |
| I am inquired of by those who didn’t ask. I am found by those who didn’t seek me. I said, ‘See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name. | I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. |
| For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established; that is, that I with you may be encouraged in you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. | For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. |
