| If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. | And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. |
| And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. | And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. |

| Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. | Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. |
| And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. | And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. |
| Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” | So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” |
| But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. | But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. |

| Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” | Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” |
| I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. | I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. |
| I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. | For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established— that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. |
| Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? | Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? |
| I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. | These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. |
| But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. | Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. |
| For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. | How I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house. |
| Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. | Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken. |
| Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. | Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you. |

| Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. | Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. |
| If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him. | If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. |
| For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver. | For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined. |
| Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. | And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. |
| So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? | Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? |
| And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. | I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. |
| You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. | You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. |
