It was not their own swords that won them the land, nor did their own arms make them victorious; rather, it was your right hand and your arm and the light of your face, because you loved them.For not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them.
Ever since the creation of the world the invisible attributes of God’s eternal power and divine nature have been clearly understood and perceived through the things he has made. Therefore, the conduct of these people is inexcusable.For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
For it is in him that the entire fullness of deity dwells in bodily form, and you share this fullness in him who is the head of every ruler and power.For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.
And where a single man can be overcome, two together will be able to resist. A cord with three strands is not easily broken.And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Wealth and honor are from you, you reign over all. And ‘to love him with all your heart, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself,’ is worth more than any burnt offerings and sacrifices.And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
