1 John 2 - NLT & NIV

He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame. And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.Next verse! With image
