In his great mercy he has given us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3	All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with a joy that is indescribable and glorious. For you are aware that you were ransomed from your futile way of life inherited from your ancestors not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 1 Peter 1:18-19	For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors.
