Chinese (traditional)![Proverbs 27:12 - NRSV](/images/simple/nrsv/proverbs-27-12.png)
The clever see danger and hide;
but the simple go on, and suffer for it.
The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished.The prudent sees danger and hides himself,
but the simple go on and suffer for it. A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished. A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. The prudent man perceives danger and seeks shelter,
while the simple continue forward and pay the penalty. Be still, and know that I am God!
I am exalted among the nations,
I am exalted in the earth. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.Next verse!With image
