Acts 12 - NCB & NIV

While Peter was thus imprisoned, the Church prayed fervently to God for him.

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.

He cried out, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” And with these words he breathed his last.

They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and so too will your household.”
