| لِذَلِكَ أُسَرُّ بِٱلضَّعَفَاتِ وَٱلشَّتَائِمِ وَٱلضَّرُورَاتِ وَٱلِٱضْطِهَادَاتِ وَٱلضِّيقَاتِ لِأَجْلِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. لِأَنِّي حِينَمَا أَنَا ضَعِيفٌ فَحِينَئِذٍ أَنَا قَوِيٌّ. | That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. |
| قَدْ فَنِيَ لَحْمِي وَقَلْبِي. صَخْرَةُ قَلْبِي وَنَصِيبِي ٱللهُ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ. | My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. |
| فَقَالَ لِي: «تَكْفِيكَ نِعْمَتِي، لِأَنَّ قُوَّتِي فِي ٱلضَّعْفِ تُكْمَلُ». فَبِكُلِّ سُرُورٍ أَفْتَخِرُ بِٱلْحَرِيِّ فِي ضَعَفَاتِي، لِكَيْ تَحِلَّ عَلَيَّ قُوَّةُ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. | But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. |
| يُعْطِي ٱلْمُعْيِيَ قُدْرَةً، وَلِعَدِيمِ ٱلْقُوَّةِ يُكَثِّرُ شِدَّةً. | He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. |
| تَعَالَوْا إِلَيَّ يا جَمِيعَ ٱلْمُتْعَبِينَ وَٱلثَّقِيلِي ٱلْأَحْمَالِ، وَأَنَا أُرِيحُكُمْ. | Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. |
| مُلْقِينَ كُلَّ هَمِّكُمْ عَلَيْهِ، لِأَنَّهُ هُوَ يَعْتَنِي بِكُمْ. | Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. |
| وَكَذَلِكَ ٱلرُّوحُ أَيْضًا يُعِينُ ضَعَفَاتِنَا، لِأَنَّنَا لَسْنَا نَعْلَمُ مَا نُصَلِّي لِأَجْلِهِ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي. وَلَكِنَّ ٱلرُّوحَ نَفْسَهُ يَشْفَعُ فِينَا بِأَنَّاتٍ لَا يُنْطَقُ بِهَا. | In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. |
| أَسْتَطِيعُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ ٱلَّذِي يُقَوِّينِي. | I can do all this through him who gives me strength. |
| لِأَنَّ ٱللهَ لَمْ يُعْطِنَا رُوحَ ٱلْفَشَلِ، بَلْ رُوحَ ٱلْقُوَّةِ وَٱلْمَحَبَّةِ وَٱلنُّصْحِ. | For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. |
| اِسْهَرُوا وَصَلُّوا لِئَلَّا تَدْخُلُوا فِي تَجْرِبَةٍ. أَمَّا ٱلرُّوحُ فَنَشِيطٌ وَأَمَّا ٱلْجَسَدُ فَضَعِيفٌ. | Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. |
| ٱلْقَلْبُ ٱلْفَرْحَانُ يُطَيِّبُ ٱلْجِسْمَ، وَٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْمُنْسَحِقَةُ تُجَفِّفُ ٱلْعَظْمَ. | A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. |
| اِفْتَحْ فَمَكَ لِأَجْلِ ٱلْأَخْرَسِ فِي دَعْوَى كُلِّ يَتِيمٍ. | Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. |
| لِأَنْ لَيْسَ لَنَا رَئِيسُ كَهَنَةٍ غَيْرُ قَادِرٍ أَنْ يَرْثِيَ لِضَعَفَاتِنَا، بَلْ مُجَرَّبٌ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلُنَا، بِلَا خَطِيَّةٍ. | For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. |
| اِقْضُوا لِلذَّلِيلِ وَلِلْيَتِيمِ. أَنْصِفُوا ٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱلْبَائِسَ. | Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. |
