Bible translations
Pick a Bible translation:
- New International Version (NIV) - An original translation of the Bible developed by over a hundred scholars working from the best available Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts. The NIV was last updated in 2011.
- King James Version (KJV) - An English translation for the Church of England completed in 1611. This version is also called the Authorized Version (AV).
- English Standard Version (ESV) - An English translation of the Bible. It is a revision of the Revised Standard Version (1971). The translation follows an "essentially literal" translation philosophy.
- New King James Version (NKJV) - An English translation of the Bible. First published in 1982 by Thomas Nelson. This version is also called the Revised Authorized Version (RAV).
- New Living Translation (NLT) - The New Living Translation renders the message of the original texts of Scripture into clear, contemporary English that was written to be read aloud.
- New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) - The New Revised Standard Version was published in 1989 by the National Council of Churches, it is a revision of the Revised Standard Version.
- World English Bible (WEB) - The World English Bible was published in 2020, it is a revision of the American Standard Version of 1901.
- New Catholic Bible (NCB) - The New Catholic Bible was published in 2019.
