| Und lasst uns aufeinander achthaben, um uns zur Liebe und zu guten Werken anzureizen, indem wir unser Zusammenkommen nicht versäumen, wie es bei einigen Sitte ist, sondern einander ermuntern, und das umso mehr, je mehr ihr den Tag herannahen seht! | And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. |
| Denn wie wir in einem Leib viele Glieder haben, aber die Glieder nicht alle dieselbe Tätigkeit haben, so sind wir, die vielen, ein Leib in Christus, einzeln aber Glieder voneinander. | For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. |
| Siehe, wie gut und wie lieblich ist es, wenn Brüder einträchtig beieinander wohnen. | Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! |
| Denn wo zwei oder drei versammelt sind in meinem Namen, da bin ich in ihrer Mitte. | For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. |
| Endlich aber seid alle gleichgesinnt, mitleidig, voll brüderlicher Liebe, barmherzig, demütig. | Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. |
| Ich ermahne euch aber, Brüder, durch den Namen unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, dass ihr alle einmütig redet und nicht Spaltungen unter euch sind, sondern dass ihr in demselben Sinn und in derselben Meinung völlig zusammengefügt seid. | Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. |
| Täglich verharrten sie einmütig im Tempel und brachen zu Hause das Brot, nahmen Speise mit Jubel und Schlichtheit des Herzens, lobten Gott und hatten Gunst beim ganzen Volk. Der Herr aber tat täglich hinzu, die gerettet wurden. | And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. |
| Zu diesem allen aber zieht die Liebe an, die das Band der Vollkommenheit ist! | And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. |
| Seid gleichgesinnt gegeneinander; sinnt nicht auf hohe Dinge, sondern haltet euch zu den Niedrigen; seid nicht klug bei euch selbst! | Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. |
| Geliebte, wenn Gott uns so geliebt hat, sind auch wir schuldig, einander zu lieben. | Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. |
| Befleißigt euch, die Einheit des Geistes zu bewahren durch das Band des Friedens. | Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. |
| Der Gott des Ausharrens und der Ermunterung aber gebe euch, gleichgesinnt zu sein untereinander, Christus Jesus gemäß. | Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. |
| Die Menge derer aber, die gläubig wurden, war ein Herz und eine Seele; und auch nicht einer sagte, dass etwas von seiner Habe sein eigen sei, sondern es war ihnen alles gemeinsam. | And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. |
| Wenn wir aber im Licht wandeln, wie er im Licht ist, haben wir Gemeinschaft miteinander, und das Blut Jesu, seines Sohnes, reinigt uns von jeder Sünde. | But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. |
| Da ist nicht Jude noch Grieche, da ist nicht Sklave noch Freier, da ist nicht Mann und Frau; denn ihr alle seid einer in Christus Jesus. | There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. |
| Ich ermahne euch aber, Brüder, dass ihr achthabt auf die, welche entgegen der Lehre, die ihr gelernt habt, Zwistigkeiten und Anstöße zur Sünde anrichten, und wendet euch von ihnen ab! | Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. |
| Den Schwachen im Glauben aber nehmt auf, doch nicht zur Entscheidung zweifelhafter Fragen! | Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. |
| Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wer aufnimmt, wen ich senden werde, nimmt mich auf; wer aber mich aufnimmt, nimmt den auf, der mich gesandt hat. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. |
| Diese alle verharrten einmütig im Gebet mit einigen Frauen und Maria, der Mutter Jesu, und mit seinen Brüdern. | These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. |
| Denn in einem Geist sind wir alle zu einem Leib getauft worden, es seien Juden oder Griechen, es seien Sklaven oder Freie, und sind alle mit einem Geist getränkt worden. | For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. |
| Sie verharrten aber in der Lehre der Apostel und in der Gemeinschaft, im Brechen des Brotes und in den Gebeten. | And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. |
| Denn wie der Leib einer ist und viele Glieder hat, alle Glieder des Leibes aber, obwohl viele, ein Leib sind: so auch der Christus. | For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. |
| Petrus nun wurde im Gefängnis verwahrt; aber von der Gemeinde geschah ein anhaltendes Gebet für ihn zu Gott. | Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. |
| Ehre die Witwen, die wirklich Witwen sind! | Honour widows that are widows indeed. |
| Wisst ihr nicht, dass ihr Gottes Tempel seid und der Geist Gottes in euch wohnt? | Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? |
