He brought you low, allowing you to suffer from hunger. Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. | You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you. |
Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him. | You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. |
