Faith (2/4)

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth. We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.
But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake. For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
