Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his. | There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. |
Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe. | Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. |

Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart. | For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. |
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning. | For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. |
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help. | Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. |
