- Isaiah 66
Those who place their hope in the Lord will regain their strength. They will soar as with eagles’ wings, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not become faint. | But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. |
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and give you help, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. | Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. |
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; nor will the waters engulf you. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not consume you. | When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. |
O Lord, you are my God. I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have accomplished wonderful things, formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. | O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. |
For I, the Lord, am your God and I grasp your right hand. It is I who say to you, Do not fear; I will help you. | For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. |
He gives strength to the weary and new vigor to those who are powerless. | He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. |
Can a woman forget the infant at her breast; or feel no compassion for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you. Behold, I have inscribed your name on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before my eyes. | Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. |
Arise and shine forth, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you. | Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. |
Because in my eyes you are precious, because you are honored and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations in return for your life. | Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. |
The grass may wither and the flower may fade, but the word of our God will endure forever. | The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. |
Bible verse of the day
He alone is my rock and my salvation,my fortress, so that I stand unshaken.
