| Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. They will be like a tree planted by the water that spreads out its roots to the stream. When the heat comes, it does not fear; its leaves stay green. It is not concerned in a year of drought, and it never fails to bear fruit. | Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. |
| For I know full well the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for your misfortune, plans that will offer you a future filled with hope. | For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. |
| When you call out to me and come forth and pray to me, I will listen to you. | Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. |
| Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware. | Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. |
| When you search for me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your heart. | And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. |
| I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything impossible for me to accomplish? | Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? |
| Ah, Lord God, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and your outstretched arm. Nothing is impossible for you. | Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. |
| Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved; you are the one whom I praise. | Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. |
| The heart is more deceitful than any other thing, and it is also perverse. Who can uncover its secrets? I, the Lord, search the heart and probe the mind to reward all according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve. | The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? | Can someone hide in a secret place so that I cannot see him? Do I not fill heaven and earth? | Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. |
