- Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit. - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
- Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
- Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
- And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
- Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
- Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings. - Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
