- Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
- But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
- But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
- Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
- I love the Lord, because he hath heard
my voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,
therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. - He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good:
and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. - Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
- Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
- So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. - He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. - My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. - My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. - If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. - Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
- And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
- He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
- Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
- But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother.
I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears.Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth.
