Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.
He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart.
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.“If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” Says the Lord of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.”
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.
Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother.My son, keep your father’s command, And do not forsake the law of your mother.

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
