Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. | You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. |
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. | But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.” |

Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. | Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. |
I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. | I sought the Lord and He answered me, And rescued me from all my fears. |
