In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Through him all things came into existence, and without him there was nothing. That which came to be.All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has been unable to overcome it.And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.
However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God.But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
No one has ever seen God. It is the only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, who has made him known.No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.
I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who is to baptize with the Holy Spirit.’And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’
