And he has given us this command: Those who love God must… 1 John 4:21

And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers. 1 John 4:21	And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister. love friendship
For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God. Romans 10:4	For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes. faith righteousness

If you love me, obey my commandments. John 14:15	If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. love Jesus
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Romans 6:14	For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace. sin grace
Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” Romans 7:7	What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” sin desires
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 1 Corinthians 15:56	The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law. sin idols
Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go. 1 Kings 2:3	Do your duty to the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His ordinances, and His testimonies, according to what is written in the Law of Moses, so that you may succeed in all that you do and wherever you turn. obedience blessing
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Matthew 7:1	Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. judgment
For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Romans 13:9	For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” love neighbor

Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble. Psalm 119:165	Those who love Your Law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble. peace
When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. John 15:10	If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. love Jesus
Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. 1 John 3:24	The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. God Spirit
You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you. Deuteronomy 6:17	You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and His provisions and His statutes which He has commanded you. obedience
But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. James 1:25	But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does. blessing listening obedience
Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:4-5	Hear, Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. love God
The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces. Proverbs 10:8	The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin. wisdom heart
Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law. Romans 13:10	Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law. love neighbor
I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches. Psalm 119:14	I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. money joy
But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. Daniel 9:5	We have sinned, we have done wrong, and acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. sin confession
Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Psalm 112:1	Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments. love awe
That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. Ecclesiastes 12:13	The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. awe life
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? James 4:12	There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you, judging your neighbor? judgment salvation neighbor
I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. Galatians 3:5	So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Spirit listening
