| They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. | Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews. | And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.” |
