| And every tongue should proclaim to the glory of God the Father: Jesus Christ is Lord. | And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |

Being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even death on a cross. | Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. |
| I, the Lord, am your God. You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God. | I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. |
| Now, if you will obey my voice and keep my covenant, you will be my own possession from among all the peoples, for the entire earth is mine. | Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. |
| However, the one who looks intently at the perfect law of freedom and perseveres—not forgetting what he has heard but putting it into practice—will be blessed in everything he does. | But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. |
| Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. | “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts. |
| You shall observe my commandments and obey them. I am the Lord. | Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and perform them: I am the Lord. |
| Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied. | Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many. |
| Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him. | Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. |
| Therefore, brethren, be diligent in providing a firm foundation for your call and election. If you do this, you will never stumble, and you will receive a glorious welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. | Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. |
| And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. | And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. |
| Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.” | Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.” |
| Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe. | Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. |
| Acquire wisdom and gain understanding; never forget or turn aside from my words. | Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. |
| This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps. | For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps. |
| Follow my statutes and keep my commandments and obey them. Then I will give you rain in its proper season and the yield of the land shall increase and the trees of the field shall bear their fruit. | If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. |
