You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
In the morning, Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will present my prayer to You and be on the watch.My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.

So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church.Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
The Lord also restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased double all that Job had.And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
