You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness.
Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free.I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.
But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.
But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord.’Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless!Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble.
I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength. You have told me what we asked of you and revealed to us what the king demanded.I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.

So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.
