Proverbs 13 - NKJV & KR92

«Joka hillitsee kielensä, turvaa henkensä, suupaltti kulkee turmioon. Sananlaskut 13:3»
He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.Joka hillitsee kielensä, turvaa henkensä, suupaltti kulkee turmioon.
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke.Rikkaalla on, mistä maksaa lunnaat, köyhää on turha uhkailla.
By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom.Ylimielisyydestä koituu vain riitaa, viisas se, joka neuvoja kuulee.
Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase.Mikä helposti tulee, se helposti menee, vähin erin kooten omaisuus karttuu.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.Pitkä odotus ahdistaa sydäntä, elämä elpyy, kun toive täyttyy.
He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.Hae viisaiden seuraa, niin viisastut, pahoin käy, jos lyöttäydyt typerien joukkoon.
