| The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously. | The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving. |
| A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. | The Lord makes a man’s steps secure when he approves of his conduct. |
| For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. | For the Lord loves the just, and he will not forsake his faithful ones. Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed, and the children of the wicked will be cut off. |
