Bible Verses about Debt

The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously. The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving.
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law.
Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.Pay to each person what is rightfully his—taxes to the one to whom taxes are due, tolls to the one to whom tolls are due, respect to the one to whom respect is due, honor to the one to whom honor is due.
The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender. The wealthy man lords it over the poor, and the borrower becomes the slave of the lender.
Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it.
For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?Which one of you, intending to build a tower, would not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has sufficient funds for its completion?
For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.The Lord, your God, will bless you as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but borrow from none. You shall rule over many nations, but none shall rule over you.
Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.Wealth hastily acquired will dwindle away, but when amassed little by little, it will increase.
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due when it is in your power to grant it.
Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon. No one can serve two masters. For you will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
