We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away. Proverbs 10:7	The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot. sin blessing
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. Romans 3:20	For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. sin law

The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. Proverbs 10:28	The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish. hope patience joy
For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us. Deuteronomy 6:25	And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us. obedience law

Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
