Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor. And do not scheme against each other. |
| Yahweh is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works. | The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. |

| Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways. For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh, but his friendship is with the upright. | Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly. |

| Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law. | Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord. |
| Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. | Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. |
| But he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. | But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings.
