1 Corinthians 7:3 (2/2)

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
All that you do must be done in love.Do everything in love.
God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
And the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no human may boast before God.God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
But just as it is written: “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the human heart, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him.
For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God.For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
All things are permitted for me, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
