Bible Verses about the Body

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
For just as we have many parts in one body and all the body’s parts do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually parts of one another. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
So remove sorrow from your heart and keep pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting. So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless.
A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
For bodily training is just slightly beneficial, but godliness is beneficial for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones.Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful.Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
But I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one hope of your calling. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.
For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
Now if your right eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
For we know that if our earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made by hands, eternal in the heavens. For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise the wife also to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise the husband also does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.
God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water. You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
And the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “At last this is bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called ‘woman,’ Because she was taken out of man.” For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
