Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.Are you not aware that wrongdoers will never inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, extortioners, drunkards, slanderers, swindlers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him.This saying can be trusted: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him.
As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.Like newborn infants, long for pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may advance on the path to salvation.
No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.There is no holy one like the Lord, there is none beside you, nor is there a rock like our God.
Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.May mercy, peace, and love be granted you in abundance.
And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.He is himself the sacrifice for our sins— and not only for our sins but also for the sins of the whole world.
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.
To which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.It was for this purpose that he called you through our gospel so that you might come to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Who “will render to each one according to his deeds”For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve.
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.Preach the message; be persistent in doing so, whether in season or out of season; convince, reprove, and encourage, but with great patience and instruction.
But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.As for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works.
Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.
Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.Therefore, the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials and to hold the wicked for punishment until the Day of Judgment.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.Let your attitude be identical to that of Christ Jesus.
Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration.
The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich, he humbles and he also exalts.
For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?For who is God except the Lord? Who is a rock aside from our God?
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.Fix your thoughts on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth.
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.Persevere in prayer, with alert minds and thankful hearts.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.When pride is nurtured, disgrace soon follows, but wisdom is the hallmark of the humble.
Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests.
