| And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. | You shall keep these things that I command you today in your heart. Teach them to your children. You shall talk of them when you are sitting in your home, and when you are walking along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. |
| What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! | What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! |

| And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good? | And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good. |
| And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. | Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. |
| Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. | Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. |
| He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? | The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. |

| For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law. | All those who have sinned outside the Law will perish outside the Law, and all who sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law. |
| But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream. | Rather, let justice flow like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. |
| But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul. | Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul. |
| Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. | Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him. |
| I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me. | I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set your judgments before me. |
