- Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. - Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path. - Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

It gives understanding to the simple. - This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

And your justice as the noonday. - But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

- No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.

- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance,
Because You favored them. - Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
- Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
Cause Your face to shine,
And we shall be saved!
