- You are all fair, my love,
And there is no spot in you. - Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
- Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. - Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. - For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
- Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
- In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
- The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever. - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
- Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
- So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”
