12 Bible Verses about Beauty

« 1 Peter 3:3-4 »

NIV KJV ESV NKJV
X
NIV
Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
You are all fair, my love, And there is no spot in you.You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
