Bible Verses about Praise
- O Lord, You are my God.
I will exalt You,
I will praise Your name,
For You have done wonderful things;
Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. - Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord! - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him. - Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name! - Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works. - But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable. - For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. - Let my mouth be filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all the day. - And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” - I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
- I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever. - For it is written:
“As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.” - And in that day you will say:
“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.” - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
Save me, and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise. - In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me? - So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
- I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations. - I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue. - I will praise You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.
