Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him.The saying is sure: If we have died with him, we will also live with him.
No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.There is no Holy One like the Lord, no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment.Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation.
May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love.May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.For this purpose he called you through our proclamation of the good news, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He will judge everyone according to what they have done.For he will repay according to each one's deeds.
As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.
Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.
Rescue me, O Lord, from liars and from all deceitful people.Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.
So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but wisdom is with the humble.
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock?For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth.
Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low, he also exalts.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
