The lips of a fool cause strife, and his mouth provokes a flogging. | Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating. |
Seek the Lord while he still may be found; call to him when he is close at hand. | Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. |
Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him. | Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. |
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. | Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. |
