Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. | God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. |
No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. | And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. |
So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. | So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. |
Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. | Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. The face of the Lord is against evildoers, To eliminate the memory of them from the earth. | But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. |

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. | You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. |
The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in From this time and forever. | The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. |

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” | Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” |
Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years approach when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”. | Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” |
