Be Merciful even as your heavenly (2/4)

You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my heavenly Father. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
“You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and every other commandment are all summed up in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Indeed, fornication and impurity of any kind, as well as greed, should not even be mentioned among you. Such talk is not fitting for saints. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent.Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.
For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. You shall not seek vengeance nor bear a grudge against the children of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayer is detestable. If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.
Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
After he had decided to follow this course of action, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary into your home as your wife. For this child has been conceived in her womb through the Holy Spirit.”But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.”
The Lord commanded us to observe all of these statutes and to fear the Lord, our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, even as we are today. The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.
Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them. But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”
Behold, he is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. All the peoples of the earth will mourn him. So shall it be. Amen.“Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.
Even though I wander through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are at my side, with your rod and your staff that comfort me.Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
There is one body and one Spirit, as well as one hope to which you have been called by your vocation. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.
A word is not even on my tongue and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it.Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
You believe that there is one God. You do well to assert that. But even the demons believe and tremble. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Take no part in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather seek to expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of what deeds people do in secret.Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you.Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
